It's a dark day for America when its government grows beyond the consent of the governed. I believe I read that Obama's next goal is our schooling system. I hope his plan does not use the same methodology as his health care plan. For obvious reasons I don't want to see the schools run by the federal government. (Haven't we seen this all somewhere before, and how did that work out?)

This president, and I use the term loosely, won't be happy until nearly every aspect of our lives is under federal control. It's like he truly feels that the government can make better life decisions for us than we can. This is a part of Washington's elitist disconnect.

I'm not saying that bribery and back room deals haven't been practiced before by our illustrious congress, but on a Bill as large and as expensive as this during poor economic times? What this congress (which is enjoying its lowest approval rating in history) is doing is unconscionable and questionably legal. Can you imagine using tax dollars to bribe their own party members into voting for an unpopular Bill? I think there needs to be jail time for some of these actions.
