This is pretty much the gear I've been using for this Blog experience. It really doesn't take three computers to do this but I like to keep all my Video and Pic stuff on one machine with the associated software and that's not the one I access the Internet with. Come to think of it, all the audio stuff and that software is on the third machine. I guess I'm just an old geezer that likes to compartmentalize (is that a word?) The other photo shows the gear I usually take with me when I go out and look for things to see and possibly photograph. There's a water jug I usually pack full of ice and then fill up with water. My cell phone that I won't travel in the desert without, a camera bag for the cameras, extra batteries, and a miniature tripod (in case I want me in the picture and my wife Vicky's not along). I take two cameras, a Sony Cybershot (7.2 mega pixel) that's pretty rugged and I've been real happy with it. Any further mega pixels would be totally wasted for what I do and a liability (file size) in many cases.

My current video camera is a Flip Video which really surprises me considering the vast amount of money I've spent in the past on VCR cameras and editing equipment. (a few that are still gathering dust at the top of my closet). The Flip takes OK videos with limited telephoto. It's simple and quick and goes un-noticed in your pocket. (I'm really starting to love it) I had a choice between HD or regular and opted for regular (the HD package didn't say whether there was an option between HD and regular video) Again, I didn't want to be stuck with large file sizes. With still photo's you can at least change their size (pixel density) if you have the software. I don't think you can change HD to regular video. (easily anyway)

The rest of the gear consists of some nose spray. (pollen) some Nitroglycerin pills (heart) and a portable radio for talk shows and news when I'm away from my car (I'm an addict). And last but not least, my Algodones, leather, cowboy hat.
